November is Homelessness Awareness Month
November marks Michigan’s annual Homelessness Awareness Month (HAM), a statewide effort observed for over two decades to raise awareness about housing insecurity and homelessness.
So far in 2024, Room at the Inn has provided 8,562 nights of shelter to 79 individuals and reached an additional 149 unsheltered individuals and families in Marquette and Alger Counties through street outreach services.
HAM Advent Calendar
Room at the Inn’s Homelessness Awareness Month Advent Calendar represents a community-driven initiative that highlights the importance of partnerships in addressing complex issues like homelessness. We have a variety of items needed for the shelter and for our guests. Coordinate with our team to pick something specific.
Day of Service
Choose a day to share your skills with our guests or cook a meal at the shelter as your day of giving.
